Creating a closing

To open the Create Closing wizard: From the Closings menu, click Create closing.

The Create Closing wizard guides you through the steps of creating a closing, based on new or existing seller and buyer information. You also have the option to customize and apply a closing plan, which allows you to keep track of the activities needed to service the closing and automatically remind you when the activities need to be completed.

To create a new closing

  1. On the Create closing wizard, do one of the following to search for the contact for whom you are creating this closing:

  2. From the search results, select the seller and then click Next.

  3. If no matches are found, click the Previous link and re-enter your search criteria.

  4. To optionally add additional sellers, select the contacts from the Available contacts grid and then click Add. To remove a seller, select the contacts from the right grid and then click the Remove arrow.

  5. Click Next.

  1. If you are subscribed to a team or partnership version of Top Producer 7i, select the listing agents from the Available agents grid, click Add, and then click Next. Otherwise, skip this step.

  2. From the Available plans list, select the plans you want to assign to this closing. If you want to view, edit or add a new plan, click plan library to display the Closing plans page. Once you've finished editing the plan, click Close, then select the plan you want to assign to the closing and click Finish.

  3. The Closing details for [contact name] page will be displayed.
