Creating a Listing

To open the Create listing page: From the Listings menu, click Create listing. 

When you have a contact who wishes to sell a property, create a listing record for their property. All listings must be associated with a contact. If you have not created a contact record, the steps below will provide you with the option to create the contact record before linking it to the listing.

To create a listing

  1. On the Create listing page, do one of the following to search for the contact for whom you are creating this listing:

  2. From the Create listing page, select the address for the listing and then click Next.

  3. From the search results page, select the contact for whom you are creating the listing, then click Next.

  4. If no matches are found, click the Previous link and re-enter your search criteria.

  5. To optionally add additional sellers, select the contacts from the Available contacts grid and then click Add. To remove a seller, select the contacts from the right grid and then click the Remove arrow.

  6. Click Next.

  7. If you are subscribed to a team or partnership version of Top Producer 7i, select the listing agents from the Available agents grid, click Add, and then click Next. Otherwise, skip this step.

  8. Optionally select the plan you want to assign to this listing and then click Finish. More Info:

    • To view, edit or add a new plan, click Plan Library to display the Listing planspage. For more information, see "Plans setup".
    • Once you've finished editing the plan, click Close. Then, select the plan you want to assign to the listing and click Finish.
  9. The Listing details for [contact name] page is displayed.

  10. Enter the details for the listing. For more information, see "Editing a Listing".
